Ryan FitzPatrick

Some call him Fitzmagic. Others call him Dad. He’s a Pacific Northwest ultra-trail-running addict. What started as light exercise quickly became a full-blown adventure obsession.

For his traditional 9-to-5 job, Ryan leads a marketing technology team in the travel industry. He spends his time with his two wild kids, his wife, and his golden retriever, Fitz—yes, Fitz FitzPatrick. With a handful of ultras under his belt, he’s currently training for an adventure in the Grand Canyon: a Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim run. And, of course, he’s completely obsessed with the gear that takes him to incredible places.

Here at 9 to 5 Runners, Ryan is all in on trail running, bringing honest and genuine reviews in a way that speaks to the average runner. “I’m no fancy elite—I’m just a guy who likes to get outside. That’s how I want to bring my reviews and testing to you - someone you can trust.”
